AGES 7-17 | EASTERN STANDARD TIME | LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Our network of arts educators are dedicated to being a support system and tool for young people to gain leadership skills, social/environmental consciousness, and to provide a safe space to make changing the world fun, meaningful, and engaging! EFC is committed to a future in which being an Impact Artist is easily identifiable, and the next generation feels secure and empowered to be the leaders of a new normal.

We fundamentally believe that art is the most powerful way to internalize thoughts and feelings so that you can externalize action and make a lasting impact.

Establish Impact Artist (EFC) chapters within schools, having students spearhead the program within their own school. Not only will this be a great way for EFC students to exercise their leadership abilities, but it will also be sharing a very meaningful movement to their schools, expanding the network of Impact Artists.

Cultivate a virtual hub in which students can learn from guest artists, share their own art, make friends, and get inspired for their amazing future. Our plan is to meet bi-weekly through Zoom

At the start of each month, a guest artist will announce the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of the month

This guest artist will lead a project related to the SDG, giving students a jumping off point to start their own projects.

On the second (and last) meeting of the month, we will share the projects we were given on our first meeting

Having students actively creating and not just watching guest artists will help them find their spark, create wonderful things, and provide leadership opportunities!

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

I learned more about myself. I didn’t realize I was this creative. I want to write everyday

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

In this specific time, This was a safe space for me without judgement. It’s good for me to meet people who understand me.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

For us to be able to make art and connect now more thank ever is important and fun.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

This class took me out of my comfort zone, and I liked that I felt for the fist time felt comfortable looking back and being able to rework without feeling bad.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

This class helped me mentally. This acted as therapy for me.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

I couldn’t write about what I wanted to before this. My English teacher said she didn’t want my topic of asylum in her classroom.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

Every. Song. I’ve written is all end rhymes. I’ve learned it’s  less about the rhyme and more about the meaning. It better reflects what I feel and want to put down on paper. It makes writing more fun for me.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

I wouldn’t maximize my expression before. I don’t have to care what other people think

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

Before this I didn’t write. Everyone would judge my writing. Now I’m writing everyday

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

It helped me figure out an exact way to put a short story in my book

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

The class always inspired me, I spend the whole night writing now.

IMPACT ARTIST STUDENT

Everyone’s individual monologues were so different and unique. It was inspiring

Rosie’s mom and I really enjoyed watching her work on this. She did a pretty deep dive for a seven year old! It's been so fun seeing her discover this side of her creative self, thank you all so much!”

IMPACT ARTIST PARENT

My child has loved all of her classes, and come away completely inspired.  She’s always been creative but she’s creating music and art on another level now
